1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
How beautiful it is for God to reveal to us what it is that He sees. It gives us an insight into the mindset of God. I have found along the line that the more we seek His face the more we start to mirror the very image of our God. So instantly what my Master showed me became the very mindset of my own. Desiring to see the world in the eyes of our Creator.
Seeing through the eyes of God was sparked in my mind a little over a year ago. As I walked up and down the isle of my church seeking the face of God I said, “God I want to see exactly what you see in your people and even in the world. What is it God? Reveal to me the very secrets in your eyes.”
As I looked infront of me, I saw our churches pulpit, which is made of fiberglass, and God says the words, “What do you see?” I said, “God, I see the reflection of the windows from the church doors.” He so comely says, “What does those windows look like?”With tears streaming down my face, I say, “Oh God I see your eyes!”
By this statement made, God gave me what I feel has been one of the greatest revelations God has ever given. He says to me, “My daughter, what do you see in my eyes?” I said, “I see the world and it is white” Once those words came out of my mouth, I was reminded of the scriptures spoken by Jesus that say the fields are white and ready for harvest. To pray for God to send workers into the field.
It was in those moments that started the beginning of the mindest of my Creator became the mindset of His creation. It was then that the words spoken by God became my future. He has called everyone of us to the field, but before we can even enter into the field we have to have a vision for it. Jesus said, “without a vision the people perish.” It’s the same as anything God shows us. We have to see it before we can pursue it.
What is it that God sees in us? It was the man at the tombs that gave me that answer. God sees in us what we can’t see in our own selves or in others either. Even the woman who was at the well who had been known as the town harlot. It’s in those instances that we truly get to see through the eyes of the one that created us.
Instead of seeing a worthless man with demons in him, Jesus seen a man that would become such a witness for Him to the point his whole town was changed. Same as the woman at the well, she too became such a great witness for her Redeemer. I’m also reminded of Paul who was once known as Saul who murdered christians. The people saw a murderer, but God saw a mighty warrior for His army.
Jesus looks at the potential in people. He does not see a world as hopeless but He sees it as a world that can be changed. If we don’t have that very same vision God has, then this world will perish. The people will perish. All God desires is people willing to see what He sees and work diligently to fulfill this vision of a world changed by God.
